The building was constructed to replace the existing facility in Elmira, Ontario. This new Standard bred horse track, grandstand, barn and racetrack slots facility (operated by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation) was completed in Spring 2004. There were 200 slots on the gaming floor, with possibility of future expansion.

Sheraton Four Points Hotel

This 65 unit, five storey hotel structure is located in London's south end. This building was constructed using precast floor planks and load bearing masonry walls, elevators and stair shafts. In addition to the construction of the new structure, extensive renovations and reinforcing were required to tie the existing structure to the new hotel.

West View Funeral Chapel
West View Funeral Chapel

This structure, located in London's west end, was constructed with a steep cathedral roof. The chapel roof was constructed at the ground level and erected in five sections by crane. This allowed for a safer work environment and sped up the construction of the chapel roof. The building includes a full chapel which allows services to take place at the funeral home.

Phase 1 of this high rise hotel structure was completed in late 2004. Phase 2 stands 29 stories with all 378 suites having a view toward the famous Niagara Falls.

VB&S were the consultants for a new 117 unit hotel complex and conference facility in the Caribbean islands of the Turks & Caicos. This structure was fully designed and detailed. Our office was part of a design team that communicated only by telephone and exchanged drawings via e-mail.

The Niagara Freefall Experience
The Niagara feefall Experience

This stunning building contains Canada’s first freefall attraction located at the corner of Stanley Avenue and Murray Street. The structure features a nine-storey high steel pyramid which contains a vertical 20 foot high padded wall chamber. Within the chamber, up to five people at a time are able to experience the thrill of flying in air at speeds of over 120 mph.
