This 100,000ft2 4-storey dual purpose structure is located on the West side of Western University’s campus. The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Centre will be 38,000ft2 with a 30,000ft2 general event space. There will be an additional 32,000ft2 of shelled floor space.

This building is designed for LEED certification and will be one of the first buildings in Ontario to use low carbon concrete, paving the way towards more sustainable development.

The presence of both new and existing deep services led to the use of a combination of concrete caissons and conventional foundations. This economical solution avoided the need for open excavation cuts and potential disturbance to adjacent structures.
