30-Storey Apartment Downtown London
This new construction project involved the design of a 30-storey, 22,277sqm concrete residential structure in the heart of downtown London, Ontario.
The tower is constructed using two way slab design on circular columns along the perimeter to take advantage of the view. Drop panels were eliminated making the construction formwork of the suspended slab easier.
The final design of the foundation was completed by using 480 Helical Piles and pile caps. This is the tallest building in Canada where Helical Piles are used as the main bearing element.
