Strathmere Lodge is a modern long-term care facility located in Strathroy, Ontario, owned and operated by Middlesex County. Designed to provide a comfortable, safe, and supportive environment for seniors requiring 24-hour care, the facility blends residential warmth with institutional efficiency. The lodge offers 160 beds in a mix of private, semi-private, and basic accommodations, and is organized into four resident home areas to promote community and familiarity.

Amenities include a central dining area, activity and therapy spaces, landscaped courtyards, and a chapel, all thoughtfully integrated to support resident well-being. The facility emphasizes a person-centered approach to care, fostering dignity, independence, and quality of life. Designed with accessibility and aging-in-place principles in mind, Strathmere Lodge also features sustainable design strategies that enhance natural light and indoor air quality.

It serves as a key part of the region’s health infrastructure, meeting the growing needs of its aging population with compassion and professionalism.
