Located at 3970 Savoy Street, this state-of-the-art fire station was strategically designed to optimize operational efficiency and firefighter wellness. The building’s contemporary aesthetic, defined by clean lines, durable materials, and expansive glazing, establishes a strong civic presence while harmonizing with its suburban surroundings.

A key feature of Station #11 is its abundant natural light, with over 75% of the facility offering exterior views. This design element not only enhances energy efficiency but also fosters a healthier work environment for first responders. The use of sustainable materials and high performance insulation ensures long-term durability and minimizes environmental impact, aligning with modern green building standards.

The interior layout prioritizes rapid response times, with a centrally located apparatus bay, strategically positioned living quarters, and direct access corridors that streamline firefighter movement. Designed with accessibility and inclusivity in mind, the station integrates ergonomic workspaces, wellness areas, and advanced training facilities to support firefighter preparedness and well-being.

Fire Station #11 in London, Ontario, features a robust and resilient structural system designed to support rapid response operations and long-term durability. The building incorporates a reinforced concrete foundation with a steel-frame superstructure, ensuring strength, stability, and flexibility for future modifications. The apparatus bay, a critical component of the facility, utilizes long-span steel beams to create an open, column-free space, allowing for efficient vehicle maneuverability and storage. Designed to meet stringent post-disaster structural requirements, Fire Station #11 is built to withstand extreme weather conditions and seismic events, ensuring operational continuity during emergencies.
