The Stoney Creek Community Centre, YMCA & Library in London, Ontario, is a vibrant, multi-use facility designed to promote health, learning, and community engagement. Opened in 2010, this 82,000-square-foot complex integrates recreational, educational, and social spaces under one roof, serving as a central hub for residents of all ages.

The facility includes a six-lane 25-metre long pool and leisure pool with adjustable floor, fitness and recreation spaces, a branch of the London Public Library and other multi-purpose community spaces for meetings, events and various community activities.

The facility encompasses a variety of spaces, including a 25-meter lap pool, a leisure pool with a movable floor, a double gymnasium, a 12,000-square-foot fitness centre, an indoor running track, and an 8,700-square-foot public library. Designing a structural system that could accommodate these diverse functions required careful planning to ensure structural integrity, sound isolation, and user comfort across different areas.
