Nestled just two blocks from the majestic Niagara Falls, the DoubleTree Fallsview Resort & Spa by Hilton offers a warm, lodge inspired escape in the heart of the Fallsview district. Housed in an 18 story Frank Lloyd Wright inspired structure, its soaring lobby features timber beams, stone accents and ample natural light, welcoming guests with the signature warm chocolate chip cookie upon arrival.

The resort comprises 224 air conditioned rooms and suites, many offering sweeping views of the Niagara River, cityscape or American Falls—particularly on higher floors. Interiors are furnished in earth tones with plush Sweet Dreams® beds, mini fridges, coffee makers and free Wi Fi, and select suites include whirlpool tubs and separate living areas.

Guests can unwind in the indoor saltwater pools (one adult-only lap pool and a family splash pool), a cedar sauna, and a seasonal outdoor hot tub atop a lush garden sundeck. The full-service AVEDA spa elevates the experience with facials, massages and body treatments. Family friendly amenities include a kids’ pool, children’s menus and babysitting services.

The DoubleTree Fallsview Resort & Spa features an 18-storey concrete and structural steel hybrid structure which has been designed structurally as a 30-storey building. The steel frame and precast hollowcore plank framed floors provide durability and acoustic separation essential for a hotel environment. A major structural challenge involved foundation design, given the proximity to the Niagara Gorge and varying bedrock elevations. Large shallow spread foundations were implemented to ensure stability. Additionally, lateral resistance was carefully engineered to handle wind loads on the tall, slender tower without compromising guest comfort or architectural expression. The podium was meticulously detailed to create the sloped roofs and open spaces.
