Talbot Terrace is a 16-storey luxury residential development in downtown London, Ontario, designed by Marsh Katsios Architect for Drewlo Holdings and completed in 2024. Featuring approximately 236 rental units, the project combines contemporary design with high-quality materials and a strong urban presence along Talbot Street.
Spacious one- and two-bedroom suites offer open-concept layouts, quartz countertops, stainless-steel appliances, and expansive glazing for abundant natural light and city views. The building’s modern amenities include a saltwater indoor pool, fully equipped fitness centre, theatre lounge, and rooftop terraces that encourage social connection and relaxation.
Underground parking, EV charging, and secure access support sustainability and resident comfort. Ideally located within walking distance of Victoria Park, Richmond Row, and the Thames Valley Parkway, Talbot Terrace reflects a refined urban lifestyle — blending architectural sophistication, convenience, and livability in one of London’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.
Talbot Terrace features a Hambro composite joist floor system supported on cast-in-place reinforced concrete shear walls, cores, and columns, combining the efficiency of steel framing with the mass and fire resistance of concrete. The Hambro system allowed for longer spans, reduced formwork, and faster floor construction while maintaining excellent acoustic and vibration performance for residential use. The structural design integrates seamlessly with a concrete podium and underground parking structure, requiring detailed coordination at the transfer interface. Key challenges included tight downtown site logistics, deck sequencing, and ensuring dimensional precision for fit-up between the steel joists, slab reinforcement, and embedded services.
